Coverage Report Map

Data-driven reports of cellular performance in every state, county, city, and ZIP code in the U.S.

What is the Coverage Report Map?

The Coverage Report Map is a map of the United States that shows detailed report of the cellular coverage and performance in every state, county, city, and ZIP code.

Each coverage report is generated by looking at publicly available FCC coverage data as well as our own crow-sourced cellular speed test data.

Each coverage report shows:

  • What percentage of the selected area each cellular network covers
  • The weighted median for download speeds, upload speeds, and latency
  • A ranking of the best carriers for coverage, speed, reliability, and overall performance
  • The distributions for download speeds, upload speeds, and latency
  • A graph of cellular performance based on time of day

Data-Rich Reports

Bars, charts, and line graphs make a rich set of data understandable at a glance.

Percentage Covered

See how much coverage each carrier has in a given area.

You'll see the coverage broken down by ratings: none, poor, good, great, and, exclusive to the Coverage Report Map, excellent.

A bar chart that shows how much poor, good, great, and excellent coverage each carrier has in a given area
A table that shows the weighted median download speeds, upload speeds, and latency for the carriers and has an interactive bar chart below

Weighted Median

Weighted median reports eliminate outlier speed tests to uncover the true typical performance of each network in a given area.

View weighted median results for download speeds, upload speeds, and latency.

This is our current benchmark for viewing the typical performance of a cellular network in a given area.

Best Carriers

At-a-glance information on which carrier has the best coverage, speed, reliability, and overall performance in a given area.

A table of what carriers rank best for coverage, speed, reliability, and overall performance in a given area
A line graph of the speed distribution of the carriers in a given area

Speed Distribution

Speed Distribution is one of the best ways for comparing performance between carriers at a glance.

It shows you how slow the bottom 10% and 25% of speed tests are, the median performance, and how fast the top 10%, 5%, and 1% of speed tests are.

Time of Day

See how cellular data speeds slow down or speed up depending on the time of day.

How the Coverage Report Map Compares

To our knowledge, nothing quite like the Coverage Report Map exists in a consumer-facing way. You're experiencing the first map of its kind ever made available to the public.
