Longmont, CO — CoverageMap.com today announced the launch of its completely redesigned website, introducing international support and re-building every page with significantly richer data.

For the first time, CoverageMap is expanding cellular performance insights beyond the United States. Users can now explore all-new provider and location pages Canada, the United Kingdom, and Puerto Rico.

Users can search for virtually any city, region, or cellular provider across these areas and see detailed performance insights based on real-world speed tests collected directly from the CoverageMap app.

The launch marks a significant milestone for the company. Since its founding, CoverageMap has grown its U.S. dataset to nearly 10 million speed tests. The new platform extends that crowdsourced approach globally and has been built with international expansion in mind.

“We’ve always believed that consumers deserve honest, data-driven answers about which carrier actually performs well where they live, work, and travel. Taking that mission international has been a long time coming. Whether you’re in London, Toronto, or San Juan, you deserve the same transparent look at real-world network performance.” — Stetson Doggett, Co-Founder

Going Global: Real-World Data Beyond The U.S.

The redesigned site introduces detailed location pages for regions in all supported countries: Canada, the United Kingdom, and Puerto Rico.

The Performance by Carrier snapshot breaks down real-world performance across the different mobile network operators (MNOs) in the region.

Users can easily compare median download speeds, median upload speeds, and reliability scores across MNOs.

  • Coverage Quality Breakdown (U.S. only): a full breakdown of coverage percentages for areas with great, good, poor, and no coverage
  • Provider Details: a breakdown of technologies (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G NR), frequency bands, and spectrum holdings that the provider is using
  • Provider Identifiers: the Mobile Country Code (MCC), Mobile Network Code (MNC), Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), and Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) for the provider
  • MVNOs: a comprehensive list to all MVNOs utilizing the provider's network for coverage
“This new data engine is the foundation we’ve been building toward. With over 10 million speed tests in the U.S. alone, and hundreds of thousands more across Canada, the UK, and Puerto Rico, we’re getting closer every day to the most comprehensive crowdsourced cellular performance resource available. The new platform surfaces all of that in a way that actually makes sense for everyday users.” — Trevor Mann, Co-Founder
